Q, What is your availability? A. I'm currently doing Java development. I'll be available January, 2010 |

Q. What are you looking for? A. Java software development as a contract or perm Senior Software Engineer. I've worked successfully as a software architect, but I like to get involved in the the coding as well. I've designed, developed and deployed commercial Java applications and J2EE middleware in N-tier web and client/server environments. Many interfaced with Oracle, Sybase, MySQL or other databases. Other interfaces have included RMI, CORBA, and XML. I've worked from both design and implementation standpoints. Please see my resume for more information. |

Q. Your resume indicates that you have a lot of software architecture experience. Does a position need to include architecture. A. No. I enjoy architecting software, but as a means to develop a better product rather than as an end in itself. I'm perfectly happy doing software development coding. |

Q. What locations would work for you? A. The Denver Tech Center (DTC), Inverness, Denver West, Lakewood work best for me. Downtown, LoDo may be possible depending on the project. Westminister, Broomfield, and Boulder are also possible locations with telecommuting. Out of state locations don't work. |

Q. What are your contracting rates? A. They're competitive with other Senior Software Engineering rates and vary by location, contract length, and type of project. |

Q. Can you do W2 or corp-to-corp? A. Either. |

Q. What is Sawatch Software? A. My own business corporation which I use for corp-to-corp consulting. |

Q. How do you feel about Agile (XP) types of development? A. I believe strongly in agile software development methodologies such as Agile but not as a pure paradigm. My view of the software development process includes design through the use-case level, rapid prototyping, iterative development including unit testing. GOF and J2EE patterns used where appropriate can result in tighter more solid code. |

Q. Your resume indicates that you have over 6 years of commercial C++ development. Would you be interested in a C++ position? A. No. Since I switched over to Java its been "All Java All the Time." |
